Equine Affaire TIP Mustang Challenge

TJ will be judging the  Trainer Incentive Program (TIP) Mustang Challenge. 

TIP is a training and adoption program that engages talented horse trainers nationwide. Approved TIP trainers gentle and halter train a Bureau of Land Management-branded wild horse or burro, then market and find a new home for the animal. 


TIP Challenges are competitions that allow competitors to showcase the talents of their wild horses or burros.

TIP Challenge competitors adopt or purchase their competition animal at the scheduled TIP Challenge pick up, and gentle it in-hand in preparation for the in-hand only TIP Challenge event. Competitors will compete for prizes and more.

Three-Day Colt Starting Clinic

Join us Memorial Day Weekend to learn how to start your colt during a 3-day clinic with TJ Clibborn. This Clinic is perfect for those interested in learning how to work with and start their colt. Through extensive groundwork, TJ will help you learn timing and feel. From handling, haltering, saddling and riding and unstarted or young horse, you will learn how to safely manage the fear in both you and your horse. If you are new to colt starting, this is a great way to start your young horses under saddle and set them up with the right foundation.

$300.00 per Colt & Rider (3-days) 

$25.00 Night for boarding

Horsemanship/Trail Clinic with Dan Grunedwald

Dan Grunedwald will be joining TJ Clibborn for a fun-filled day of horsemanship and trail obstacles. This clinic will work on horsemanship in the morning, getting your horse set up for a successful ride.  The clinic will cover various topics on how to advance yourself and your horse through means of:

  • Problem-solving

  • Shoulder control

  • Softness

  • Hind end control

  • Departures

  • Smooth transitions

  • Choosing the right equipment

The afternoon sessions will focus on trail obstacles and applying what you learned in the morning session to overcome obstacles.
